    Additional Details:

    Required Skills/Experience: Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.

    Preferred Skills/Experience: Knowledge of surgical operation procedures preferred. Prior experience in pre-op and/or PACU. Skilled in pre-op, PACU, and circulating all general, ortho, and O.B. cases (C-sections). Available to help in trauma cases in the E.R. Confident caring for surgical patients in the middle of the night as the only O.R. nurse in house during emergency call cases.

    Unit Details: Provides care to patients before, during, and after operations and procedures. Level 4 trauma facility.

    Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri. Rotating on-call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; average 7-9 call days per month with 20 minute response time to hospital. Recognized holidays: NYD, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. 36 contract hours per week. Holiday Coverage Required: Yes

    Required Credentials: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

    Floating Requirements: Be available to help in TRAUMA cases in the E.R.
