Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 2 years experience required in high acuity and high pace environment. Electronic fetal monitoring. Need high risk experience and able to work in fast paced, high acuity environments. Functions in the role of Baby Nurse during the delivery and continues care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum. Must circulate and provide newborn care including eyes, thighs, Vit K injections, and newborn assessments.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Highly prefer RNs with 5 years of high risk experience but will consider candidates with 3 years or more experience as long as they have high risk experience.
Required Credentials: Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past. If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.
Special Requests: RTO must be listed at time of submission. Pre-approved time off will be case by case basis. Perm candidates of any other Providence facility (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract if they have been separated for at least 3 months. All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details: Midwifery clients, private OBs, Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery, Community care clinics as well. High risk/high volume Labor & Delivery - all types.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.
Floating Requirements: Float required: Postpartum / Antepartum - may float to sister facilities that do Mother/Baby.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
