Required Skills/Experience: Will accept clinic experience, ICU/CVICU, Cath Lab, or Cardiac Stepdown. First-time travelers accepted if able to adapt from acute to clinic.

Special Requests: Ok to approve up to 5 days of RTO.

Unit Details: Outpatient cardiology clinic located in the medical office building on the hospital campus. Very fast-paced clinic with patients seen every 15 minutes. Adult patient population. Common diagnoses and visit types include CHF, chest pain, pre/post Cath Lab, post-CABG, post-valve replacements, pulmonary hypertension, peripheral artery disease, EP patients, and some stress tests. Responsibilities include procedure authorization, entering orders, patient education, in-basket management, calling patients with abnormal labs, phone triage, occasional IV dobutamine for stress tests, assisting with rooming patients, obtaining EKGs, and placing Holter/event monitors; education can be provided if no prior monitor experience. Uses Alaris IV pump, Zio and Bardy monitors, and EKG machines.

Shift & Scheduling: Monday-Friday with a rotating half day off each week. No weekend rotation. No on-call requirements. No holiday expectations.
