Required Skills/Experience: Titration of vesicant medications. Familiarity with pressors. Sedation. Paralytics. Experience with ventilators. Tracheostomies. Hemodynamic monitoring and PA catheter setup and interpretation.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Transvenous pacing. Cardioversion. TEE. Chest tube insertions and maintenance. IABP. Impella. CRRT.

Unit Details: Patient ratios: 2/1 or 1/1 (occasionally 3/1 depending on acuity). RNs only; no HUC or PCT support. Uses ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia equipment. Procedures performed on unit: Cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, thoracentesis.

Shift & Scheduling: Alternating weekends.
