Required Skills/Experience:

• 2 solid years Stepdown + 1 travel contract OR 5 years of solid Stepdown if no travel experience
• Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
• Skillset: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), post heart Cath care (fem./TR bands), initiate/titrate drips (Cardizem, Amio, Cardene, nitro, Insulin, Heparin), NIHSS/strong neuro assessments, sepsis care, chest tubes, PIV insertion.
• Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new hires

Required Credentials: Associate Degree or Certificate

Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
