Required Skills/Experience:
Required skills include MS/Tele, cardiac telemetry, telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, telemetry on-unit monitoring, use of rapid response teams, post-cardiac angiogram, post-MI, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube care and management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs, heparin protocols, management of cardiac drips without titration, management of vasoactive drips without titration, PCA, surgical drains, chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac), external CPAP/BIPAP, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of ABGs, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, tracheostomy management, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials:
You must have a MO license and be in the process of applying for a KS license (+vice-versa) or you must have a compact licensure to apply.

Special Requests:
If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
RTO is limited to no more than 7 days.

Unit Details:
Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Medical cardiac step-down patients include those with chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, and multiple-system diseases.
Charge RN assignments may be required as needed by the unit.

Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 hours.
Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke’s 6-week schedule period, a combination of F/S/S.
Holiday shifts are assigned as needed per unit.
No call.

Floating Requirements:
Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed.
Floating may include all Intermediate and ED units.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
