Required Skills/Experience:
Recent cardiac (open-heart) experience is required.
2-3 years of experience as a registered nurse is required.
Within the last 12 months, at least one assignment at an academic medical institution is preferred, but at minimum the assignment must be at a Level I trauma facility in a major metropolitan area.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Ability to both scrub and circulate is preferred.

Required Credentials:
EKG exam with mapping and interpretation is required; a minimum score of 80% is required, and 100% of lethal rhythms must be identified correctly.

Special Requests:
Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
RTO is not permitted during the first 2 weeks of a new assignment.

Unit Details:
Coverage includes cardiac, neuro, and vascular cases.

Shift & Scheduling:
Variable day schedule.
Call is as needed, including weekends and holidays.
Some weekend work is preferred.
Maximum of 8 total RTO days for a 13-week contract.
