Required Credentials:

• Diploma of Nursing.

Preferred Credentials:

• BSN.

Unit Details:

• Pre-operative support and immediate post-operative recovery of cardiovascular procedures, including open heart surgery, heart transplants, ventricular assist device implantation, and interventional and structural heart procedures.
• Cares for acute cardiology and heart failure patients, often on inotropic support or temporary left and right ventricular devices.
• Uses Impellas, IABPs, ECMO, C-Mag, invasive lines, hemodynamic support, continuous dialysis and ultrafiltration machines, and permanent and temporary ventricular assist devices.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Night shift 3x12s and every other weekend.

Floating Requirements:

• ICU float pool (MICU/SICU/CVICU).
