Required Credentials: Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam required during onboarding.

Special Requests: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. This must be the clinician's primary job; the facility will not accommodate another work schedule. Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Unit Details: Ratios: 1 to 4 unless ICU patient would be 1 to 2. Fast track is staffed with midlevels and LVNs. Charge coverage includes a shift manager and a resource nurse. ED techs are EMTs or aides from other units. Uses Phillips telemetry and Omnicell; vents are used. No IV team; RT and pharmacy are available 24/7. ER uses MDs only. Patient population includes fewer pediatric patients than the sister campus, correctional patients with officer presence, and more homeless/indigent patients. All OB patients are transferred to the other campus. No cardiac patients; these patients are stabilized and transferred out. Treats between 85 - 115 patients per day with an average of 100 patients per day.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule. For nights, weekends are Fri/Sat. Holiday requirement: 1 major & 1 minor. Self-scheduling is used, but schedules are not finalized until the manager balances them. Schedules are for 4 weeks.

Floating Requirements: First to float. Floating could happen between the 2 facility ERs. If floated prior to shift, would get a 2 hour notice prior start. Midshift floating could happen. The facilities are 6.5 miles apart.
