An interview may not be available prior to offer. References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.
Special Requests: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. This assignment must be your primary job; the facility will not work around another work schedule to accommodate hours.
Unit Details: Patient ratios are 1:4, or 1:2 for ICU patients. Charge support includes a shift manager and a resource nurse. ED techs are EMTs or aides from other units. Uses Philips telemetry and Omnicell. Ventilator patients may be present. No IV team. RT and pharmacy are available 24/7. ER uses MDs only. Typical ER patients; some days there are MedSurg/Tele holds in the ER, and ER nurses will be expected to take these patients. May see 5150 psych holds, though they are rarely held longer than 12 hours. Utilizes the MET Team (Mobile Eval Team). Patient volume can range from 115 to 175 patients per day.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule; weekends are Fri/Sat for nights and Sat/Sun for days. Holidays: 1 major and 1 minor. Self-scheduling; schedules are for 4 weeks and are not finalized until the manager balances them. If placed on standby/call, you must report within 30 mins.
Floating Requirements: First to float. Floating could happen between the two facilities to the ER. If floated prior to shift, you will receive a 2 hour notice prior to start. Mid-shift floating could happen. The facilities are only 6.5 miles apart.
