Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience working in an ER that is high volume and high acuity.

Special Requests: Holiday RTO will be considered; however, it is not guaranteed. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.

Unit Details: High-volume, high-acuity ER with approximately 155 patients per day. Trauma, stroke, pediatric, and psychiatric emergency patients. Some travelers may take trauma patients depending on experience. Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment. EMT support on each shift, plus a mid-shift EMT for tech duties. Uses GE telemetry. Cares for vented patients. Hospitalist and intensivist coverage 24/7; RT and pharmacy available 24/7; no IV team.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Works into permanent staff holiday rotation. On-call 1 day per month; if it is your call team's turn, it could be 2 days per month. When the call schedule comes out, you have 3 days to sign up before being assigned to call. Schedule is made at least 2 weeks in advance; self-scheduling by seniority.
