    Additional Details:

    References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

    Required Skills/Experience: General emergency department-combined adult/pedi experience required. Cardiac monitoring and emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, obtain 12 lead EKG. IV therapy/phlebotomy: Blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, starting IVs. Medication skills: Continuous IV paralytics, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration. Neurological cases: CVA, ICP monitoring, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury. Orthopedic cases: Ortho-trauma. Pediatric cases: Abdominal pain, asthma, burns, epiglottitis, head injury, hyperglycemia, identifying and reporting abuse, infections, mental/behavioral health concerns, near drowning, poison ingestion, respiratory infections, seizures, sickle cell crisis, skin disorders, spinal cord injury, urinary tract infections. Psychiatric cases: Acute psychosis, drug overdose, managing violent behavior, psychiatric hold, suicidal patient. Respiratory cases: Chest tube insertion/management, CPAP/BiPAP, interpretation of ABGs, intubation, ventilated patients. Shock/trauma cases: Gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation. Professional topics and skills: Isolation precautions, triage. Additional skills/experience: Tele interpretations, ventilators.

    Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.

    Special Requests: RTO restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.

    Unit Details: Primary Stroke Center and Level 2 Trauma Center. Neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population. Cares for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, abdominal pain, respiratory complaints, chest pain, and fever/headache presentations.

    Shift & Scheduling: Night shifts may be 4x12s or 3x12s (1900-0730). Will work weekends as needed. No on-call required.

    Floating Requirements: Will float as needed.

    • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
