Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- General ED combined adult/pediatric setting experience required.
- Must have completed at least 1 travel assignment.
- Triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy.
- Preceptor experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.
Required Credentials:
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
- For DC locations, must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (see JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.
- For MD locations, must have compact license or MD license.
Unit Details:
- Neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient population.
- Cares for patients with urgent and emergent needs.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Every other holiday.
