    Special Requests:

    • At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.

    Unit Details:

    • Uses Epic.
    • Level 2 trauma; STEMI and stroke receiving.
    • Travelers work in all areas, including triage if comfortable.
    • ER holds are managed in the ER, and travelers will be required to take holds.
    • Separate locked psych/seclusion area with 10 video-monitored rooms.
    • Nurse-patient ratios are generally 1:4 and can flex to 1:6 in psych and fast track, with 2 nurses in fast track.
    • Common cases include chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, back pain, cough, and alcohol detox. Pediatrics make up about 10% of cases.
    • All critical drips managed.
    • Nurses read their own strips.
    • Nurses draw labs when starting IVs.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Every other weekend for nights (Fri-Sat); rotating holidays.
