Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience. Moderate sedation required.
Required Credentials: Temporary Illinois licensure is not accepted.
Preferred Credentials: BSN preferred.
Unit Details: Provides care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures through prep, intra procedure, and recovery phases for routine GI procedures including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. Rotates through prep, procedure, and phase 1/phase 2 recovery; reviews health history, starts IVs, provides patient education, delivers moderate sedation under direction of physician, and assists the CRNA during cases requiring anesthesia involvement. Outpatient population.
Shift & Scheduling: Rotating start times typically between 0630 and 0800. No weekend shifts. No holiday shifts.
Floating Requirements: Floating between Champaign Endoscopy Center and Digestive Health Center required. Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites: Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and/or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.
