Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted (must have Oasis E experience).
Preferred Skills/Experience: Central line management experience preferred. Wound vac experience preferred.
Required Credentials: DC locations: Must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending. MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure. MD locations: Must have compact license or MD license.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Visit types correlate to a point system. The minimum would be 6 points per day average. This equates to 30 points a week. This could be anywhere from 3 to 6 visits per day. Patient population includes wound, CHF, diabetes, HTN, cancer, infection, and joint replacement. Procedures include drain removal, urinary catheter placement, vac placement, infusion/pump teaching, and mediport access. All home care clinicians and contractors use their personal vehicles. They are expected to have a reliable vehicle in good standing with all licensure and insurance requirements.
Shift & Scheduling: No weekend or call requirements.
Floating Requirements: May be asked to move to another zip code in the coverage area based on staffing availability and patient need. Service area includes Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Charles County, and St. Mary's County. Contractors are assigned to a group of zip codes in one of the counties depending on staffing needs.
