Additional Details:
An interview may not be available prior to offer. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Special Requests: Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
Required Skills/Experience: Must have 1 year of L&D experience and be trained in LDRP. Must be able to triage and function as the baby catcher/transition nurse.
Unit Details: Cares for pregnant women, newborns, and GYN surgical patients. Candidates do not need to circulate C-sections or manage post-op GYN patients. Titrates Pitocin drips. Charge nurse is one of two nurses on shift. No nurse aides or surgical techs on unit. OBs are not in house and have a 20-minute response time; anesthesia is in house during regular business hours and on-call after hours with a 20-minute response time. RT is requested for deliveries but may not always be available; pediatrics on-call may attend deliveries in lieu of RT. Uses Bubble CPAP, CPAP, NC, and OBIX.
Shift & Scheduling: Some self-scheduling, but shifts may be moved for unit needs. Half of all weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Half of winter holidays. No call or standby requirement.
Floating Requirements: First to float helping hands to MedSurg (rare).
