Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery / Labor & Birth experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage laboring patients, including high-risk obstetric cases
- Strong skills in fetal monitoring and interpretation, labor support and coaching, medication administration and IV therapy, and obstetric emergencies and rapid response
- Comfortable caring for 2 patients
- 2+ min in recent acute care setting with caring for 2 patients
Preferred Credentials:
- EFM training
Unit Details:
- Cares for laboring, delivering, and immediate postpartum patients, including routine and high-risk obstetric cases
- Collaborates closely with obstetric providers, anesthesia, NICU, and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital setting
- Level 3 NICU support; high-volume deliveries at approximately 8,000 per year
Shift & Scheduling:
- 3 or 4 x 12-hour night shifts; 36 or 48 hr contracts
- Every other weekend
- Rotating holidays
- No call
Floating Requirements:
- Comfortable floating between Antepartum and Labor & Birth; customary within scope as needed
