    Additional Details:

    Required Skills/Experience:

    • Must be able to titrate drips.

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Scrub experience preferred.

    Special Requests:

    • Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months.
    • Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
    • Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.
    • RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved after submission.

    Unit Details:

    • Obstetric, labor and delivery, antepartum, triage, and postpartum patients; accepts 23+ weeks. Travelers may help with triage based on experience.
    • Common patient conditions and cases include postpartum magnesium sulfate, preeclampsia, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, vaginal and C-section deliveries, occasional higher-risk patients, hysterectomy, bladder repairs, and mastectomies.
    • Common titratable drips include pitocin, magnesium, and occasional insulin drips. Other commonly seen medications include procardia, labetalol push, TXA for hemorrhage, methergine, hemabate, cytotec, and cervidil.
    • RNs are expected to read telemetry in Phase 1 recovery for C-section patients only; the unit is remote-tele capable with monitor tech support when remote telemetry is used.
    • GE/Corometrics fetal monitoring equipment is used on the unit.
    • OB is on call 24/7, neonatology/NNP is available overnight, and anesthesia is in house 24/7.
    • One OB scrub tech is scheduled Monday through Friday on days, with a unit clerk and occasional nurse techs who are nursing students.
    • Surgical scrubs are provided.

    Shift & Scheduling:

    • Schedule is made 6 weeks in advance with attention to sleep schedules. Manager will work with block scheduling.
    • Every third weekend.
    • Holidays as needed.
    • No call; optional overtime opportunities.

    Floating Requirements:

    • First to float.
    • May float to Peds MS, NICU feeder-growers, med/surg, PCU, ICU, ED, or Psych units as a 1:1 sitter or helping hands.
