Required Skills/Experience:
Must have at least 1 year of inpatient hematology oncology experience in work history and checklist.
MS oncology experience required.
Experience with leukemia/blood dyscrasias required.
MS/Tele, telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response teams, feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs required.

Required Credentials:
Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details:
Adult and geriatric patient population.
Acute leukemia population; primarily newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients.
Medical unit with a high number of blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolytes.
Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention.
Uses B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds.

Shift & Scheduling:
Shift options include 07:00-19:30 days and 19:00-07:30 nights.
Weekends: Variable based on unit needs.
For 12D/N rotating contracts, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on department needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities.

Floating Requirements:
Float to other MedSurg Oncology units.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
