Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Telemetry interpretation.
• Telemetry monitoring.
• Acute care experience must be current/today (and working consistently in the last 12 months) and must be in the specialty with which they are applying.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Oncology experience preferred but not required.

Required Credentials:

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests:

• Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.

Unit Details:

• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• Common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, and patients receiving antineoplastic chemotherapy.
• 17 James cares for solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey, from new diagnosis through treatment and transition to end-of-life care.
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls.
• Cares for patients with true med surg issues.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekends variable based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements:

• Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units.
