Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant specialty experience within the past 3 years.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience: Must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years. However, must have at least 1 year of current specialty experience for a clinical pass. Proficiency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, with the ability to interpret dysrhythmias and provide appropriate interventions. Experience in oncology-specific procedures such as chemotherapy administration and brachytherapy.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience preferred but not required.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Diagnoses include endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers; surgical populations include hysterectomy and cystectomy patients. Unit treatments and procedures include chemotherapy, clinical trials, brachytherapy, CBI, and neobladder care. Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls management.
Shift & Scheduling: If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. Weekends are variable based on unit needs. Self-schedule requests are accommodated to ensure a balance of preferences while meeting unit requirements. The first week of orientation is Monday to Friday dayshift. The second week consists of 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor.
Floating Requirements: Float to other MedSurg Oncology units.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
