Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Special Requests: Eligibility as current/previous employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to titrate drips. Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
Unit Details: Cardiac/tele unit with no stepdown patients. Common patient population includes cardiac patients, CR bands, post cath, AMI, post-op lung surgeries after out of CCU, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, and post PCI. Occasional cardiac drips with titration (ie Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, & Nitro up to 50 mcg). Will not pull sheaths; no art lines. CPAP & BiPap only; RT manages. Phillips monitors. Charge nurse available 24/7; nights charge nurse takes a patient assignment.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday). Holidays are worked in rotation with permanent staff.
Floating Requirements: Floats to any MedSurg/Tele unit.
