Additional Information
Required Skills/Experience:
- Recent Epic experience required.
Required Credentials:
- Associate degree or certificate.
Unit Details:
- Patient population includes post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF patients.
- Skillset includes remote telemetry, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foleys, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management.
- Ratios: Days 1:4-5; Nights 1:6-7.
- Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.
- Flexible contract hours: 36 per week, with 48 per week upon request.
Floating Requirements:
- First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY – 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
