Additional Details:
Artificial nails are not allowed for any travelers. Failure to adhere could result in being sent home and/or terminated if policy is not followed.
If candidate worked a perm facility in the last 12 months, 1 reference must be from perm facility.
Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: cumulative experience applies for previous travelers.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Special Requests: They allow self-scheduling and blocked schedules as long as unit needs are met.
Unit Details: Remote telemetry patients are monitored remotely by the monitor tech on the 3rd floor; there are no monitors on the unit. Heparin and possibly MSO4 for comfort measures; no cardiac gtts. BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow are managed by RT. 1W: mainly post-surgical and ortho patients. 2E: mainly MedSurg, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and low-volume inpatient chemo patients; chemo is administered by the director and manager. COVID patients may be housed on 2E in a separate "dirty" hallway, with "clean" patients on a different hallway; could be assigned to both clean and dirty patients at the same time and must be comfortable with this.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; Saturday/Sunday are weekend shifts. Required to work 2 Fridays per schedule; most staff group Fri/Sat/Sun together. Work into the permanent staff holiday rotation.
Floating Requirements: Floating only to other MedSurg units.
