Required Skills/Experience:

• Start IVs, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.

Special Requests:

• Any special scheduling requests must be made with Manager upon arrival at facility.

Unit Details:

• 7th floor Trauma Med/Surg unit.
• Tech support on day shift and night shift. Unit secretary 7a-7p.
• Uses IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 3 12-hour shifts/week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule.

Floating Requirements:

• Contract labor is first to float; go by rotation when there are multiple contract labor staff scheduled.
