Required Skills/Experience:
If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to the WA state regulations.
First-time travelers are accepted with at least 2 years of experience with high-acuity postpartum care and the ability to handle a census surge where they could be asked to manage a 4th couplet.
High-risk obstetric care experience is required.
Magnesium experience is required.
Required clinical skills include Pitocin, Foley, postpartum hemorrhage, and substance withdrawal.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
JADA experience preferred.

Required Credentials:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.

Special Requests:
RTO must be listed at time of submission.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Permanent candidates from any other Providence facility (excluding Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract only if they have been separated for at least 3 months.

Unit Details:
High-volume, high-census unit serving high-risk obstetric patients and a diverse patient population.
Postpartum treatment follows delivery after pregnancy.
Infant and adult patient population.

Shift & Scheduling:
Schedule options are 3x12s or 4x12s, at the traveler's choice.
6 weekend days per contract.

Floating Requirements:
Float required to Issaquah Campus - Postpartum, Edmonds Campus - Postpartum, and Labor and Delivery for the 2nd hour of recovery.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
