Required Skills/Experience: 2 years ICU experience required in large (450+). Must have EVD experience. Strong neuro assessment skills and ICP monitoring experience required. Unit will consider candidates with less than 2 years if they have 18 months of Neuro ICU experience.

Required Credentials: DYS exam required prior to acceptance; 2 attempts allowed. Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation; study guide provided.

Special Requests: An interview may not be available prior to offer. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Each employment history entry on the resume must include detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, and whether the facility is a teaching facility. At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job being applied to. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility. Time off must be approved by the manager; holiday PTO must be approved by the unit manager.

Unit Details: Critical care patients with neurologic diagnoses. Cases include craniotomies, brain tumor removals and ablations, brain biopsies, complicated spine surgeries, and scoliosis repair. Uses Phillips monitors; ventilator patients.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks. Holidays work into core staff rotation. May be placed on standby for a scheduled shift.

Floating Requirements: First to float to ICU/MS/Tele, including MS Tele/Tele floors; possible floating to Westgate or AZ General Laveen. Tele ratio is 4:1.
