Resume: Each employment history entry must include all the following: detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, trauma level (if applicable), patient ratio, teaching facility.
References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Required Skills/Experience: Okay with 1 year of experience in Oncology. Will accept MS travelers without oncology/chemo experience, but must have 2 years of experience. Must be able to respond appropriately to life-threatening rhythms.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Chemo experience preferred.
Required Credentials: Chemo certification required to administer chemo.
Preferred Credentials: Oncology and/or chemo certifications preferred.
Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Current or previous employees may be considered only as a one-off exception with approval from St. Luke’s Health System. For nights they do try to block shifts together, but travelers are expected to be flexible and fill in the schedule.
Unit Details: Patient population includes BMT, oncology, GYN ONC surgeries, hospice, and med/surg. Uses Epic. Pain medication drips/PCAs; no titratable drips. Equipment includes CPAP and high flow. Tele techs on unit. Higher acuity patients than general MS units.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekends as needed to fill staffing holes. Holiday rotation required. No call.
Floating Requirements: Travelers are first to float to like MS units within their scope at the Boise, Meridian, and Nampa St. Luke’s campuses.
