Required Credentials:

• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Special Requests:

• References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
• You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
• You cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.
• RTO required with submission, must be built into contract

Shift & Scheduling:

• Weekend shifts as needed per unit needs.
• D/N or N
• If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

Floating Requirements:

• Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.
• This is a new unit opening on 7/1. Travelers who start prior to this date will float to inpatient units until training is complete.

• Medication administration/ Pain management, Adjuvant therapy, Breakthrough dosing, Equianalgesic dosing of opioids, Medication tolerance, Pain assessment, Pharmacologic/non-pharmacological pain interventions, Proper disposal of medications, Types of pain (somatic, visceral, neuropathic) and treatment, Utilization of pain scales (verbal, nonverbal), Ethical and Legal Issues, Symptom Assessment/Management, End of Life Care, Phlebotomy/IV Management, Care and management of peripheral IVs/ central lines/ports, Phlebotomy skills, Starting and maintaining IVs, Professional knowledge/skills
