Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Experience with pharmacologic/non-pharmacological pain interventions and equianalgesic dosing of opioids.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Teaching hospital experience preferred.
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Cannot apply to any James Cancer Hospital & Research facilities if you have an active application to any of the Ohio State University facilities.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population with serious, life-limiting illnesses. Provides symptom management for patients still under treatment, including uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue. Focuses on comfort, dignity, symptom management, and emotional and psychosocial support for patients with advanced illness or imminent end of life.
Shift & Scheduling: Day shift 07:00 - 19:30 or night shift 19:00 - 07:30. Weekend shifts as needed per unit needs. If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.
Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. Travelers who start prior to 7/8 will be floating to inpatient units until their training is complete.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
