Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2 years of recent specialty experience required – must have a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year.
- Work Settings: MS/Tele, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Cardiovascular: Post Cardiac, Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery. Endocrine/Metabolic: IV insulin protocols. Gastrointestinal: Feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary/Renal: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Medications: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips - no titration, PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration, Titrate Cardiac drips. Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA. Orthopedics: Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint Replacements. Plastics: Surgical drains. Respiratory: Chest tubes - Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management. Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous charge experience and teaching hospital experience preferred.
- IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports. Oncology: Monitoring Chemotherapy. -Preferred Skills: Accessing/Managing Ports, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Monitoring Chemotherapy
Special Requests:

- Roles requiring state licensure only: Floating roles must have a Missouri license and be in the process of applying for a Kansas license (and vice versa), or must have compact licensure to apply.
- If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up.
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
- No travel partners accepted.
- Tenure policy for all travel roles (excluding Interim Leadership and RNFA roles): 18 months with a 3-month break in service required.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit.
- 8 weekend shifts in Saint Luke's 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
Floating Requirements:
- Will float all MSI units, including ED, to care for inpatient holds.
- Floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed.
