    Additional Information

    Required Skills/Experience:
    1 year of experience in pediatric hem/oncology acute care is required.
    Central line management, chemotherapy administration, and strong pediatric assessment are required.
    First-time travelers are accepted with a strong pediatric background.

    Unit Details:
    Average 14-32 patients per day.
    Patient population includes leukemia, solid tumors, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, behavioral health overlay, and general adolescent medicine.
    The pediatric adolescent medicine RN-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5.
    Bedside telemetry monitoring is used; no telemetry technician is available.
    The unit uses Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing.

    Shift & Scheduling:
    Every other weekend.
    No call.
    Travelers are required to work 75% of holidays.
    The schedule cycle is every 6 weeks.

    Floating Requirements:
    Will work routinely between PA and PHO and other units in Brenner except Peds ED.
