Required Skills/Experience:
Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.

Unit Details:
Short procedures include EGDs, BMTTs, MRIs, T&As, and DLBs.
Larger cases include pectus excavatum repair, spinal fusions, cardiac caths, EVDs, breast reductions, and ortho cases.
Skills used on the unit include arterial lines, trachs/home vents, Precedex drips, chest tubes, drains, and foleys.
Focus areas include airway management, Modified Aldrete scoring, assessment/VS, medication administration, and discharge teaching.
Phase 1 is 1 on 1 with patients. Phase 2 is 1 on 1 or 1 RN to 4 patients in Stepdown.
Anesthesiologists manage medication orders, signouts, and assist with stats. Surgeons manage discharge orders and instructions, wound issues, and radiology orders.

Shift & Scheduling:
Work schedule is 2 8s and 2 10s per week.
Monday-Friday; start times fluctuate between 0730-0830. Thursdays always start at 0830.
