Required Skills/Experience:
5 years in PEDS ED/PICU & Level IV NICU (must have at least 1 year of each) plus at least 3 years of neonatal/peds transport experience within the last 5 years.

Required Credentials:
If you have a multistate license, you will be required to complete a 1-time 6-hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.

Special Requests:
Any RTO or special requests not included on your application will not be considered.
You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility.

Unit Details:
Supports interhospital transport via ground or air, including airway management, vasoactive drips/infusion, non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/HFNC), respiratory inhaled medication administration, and IV/IO access.
Pediatric and neonatal patients; common diagnoses include HIE, ppHN, asthma, respiratory illness, sepsis, DKA, other metabolic disorders, trauma (accidental and non-accidental), ingestions, congenital heart defects, cancer, and NEC.
Uses Phillips monitor, Hamilton ventilator, Braun and Baxter IV pumps, Tecotherm, Zoll defib, TXP, Cross Vent, Stryker gurney, transport isolette, and ambulance and aircraft equipment.
Team is 1 RN, 1 RT, and an EMT who drives the ambulance; partners with NW Ambulance for ground and Airlift Northwest for air transport (fixed and rotor wing).
Provides CRRT and ECMO.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
No call.

Floating Requirements:
When not transporting, will help in units where there is a need; may also work as helping hands.
