Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Ultrasound-guided IV placement, vein finder, and IV placement skills required.
- Pediatric VAS experience required, i.e. Heme/Onc, ICU.
Unit Details:
- Adolescent, adult, and pediatric patient population.
- Patients that have veins that cannot be seen or felt.
- Vascular access work includes ultrasound-guided techniques, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, IV monitoring, and recommending the appropriate IV type.
- Specialized ultrasound is used for 75% of IV insertion.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Weekend required: Yes.
- Day/night rotation. Rotate between 7 AM-7:30 PM, 11AM-11:30 PM, and 3 PM-3:30 AM.
Floating Requirements:
- Float throughout hospital.
