Required Skills/Experience:

• IV start skills.
• Moderate sedation experience.
• Experience getting surgical patients ready for surgery and providing phase 2 recovery.

Special Requests:

• Any special scheduling requests must be made with the manager upon arrival at the facility.

Unit Details:

• Uses cardiac monitors, ultrasound, and EKG machine.
• Procedures performed on the unit include nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan.

Shift & Scheduling:

• 3-12 hr shifts. Would consider 4-10 hr shifts. One closing day per week (stay until unit closes). Shift starts @ 5, 5:30, 6, 6:30 or 7 depending on surgery schedule. It will usually be 5:30 am unless it is day to close. Closing days schedule is 7:00 am until the last patient leaves.
• No weekends or holidays.

Floating Requirements:

• Will only work in Day Surgery and Preop holding.
