Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If clinician has questions, please email the AM.
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Required Credentials:
- Candidate must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
- For DC locations, you must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (see JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.
- For MD locations, you must have compact license or MD license.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Previous Charge Experience: Preferred.
Unit Details:
- Adult patient population.
- Chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring for up to 8 patients, non-titratable drips, IV infusions, ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment.
- Patient population includes CHG, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and general surgery.
- Typical patient ratio is 1:6.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- Weekend coverage will be directed based upon operational needs.
- No call required.
Floating Requirements:
- Float to Tele and/or MS as needed (these units have a 1:5/1:6 ratio).

- PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience.
- Previous Charge Experience
- Teaching Hospital Experience
- Community Hospital Experience
