Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Interventional cardiac patient/procedure experience, IV skills, sheath pull experience, stable drips, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management required.
- Patient Ratio Experience: 1:3
Required Credentials:
- Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
- If you have a multistate/compact nursing license, you will be required to complete a one time 6 hour suicide prevention training according to WA state regulations.
Special Requests:
- Permanent staff from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible for a travel contract only if separated for at least 3 months.
- RTO must be listed at time of submission.
- All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
- References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
- You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Unit Details:
- Adult and geriatric patient population.
- Interventional cardiac / procedure unit. Pre/post invasive and diagnostic procedures, cardioversion, pre/post angiogram, elective PCI, EP patients including ablation, lead placement, pacer placement, pre-TAVR and Mitral Clip, and post-op recovery for structural heart patients going home the same day.
- TEE, cardioversion, procedure sedation, blood/blood products administration, cardioversion / defibrillation, epicardial pacer management, sheath removal, telemetry interpretation, heparin, insulin.
- Typical staffing ratios: 1:3 days, 1:4 nights.
Shift & Scheduling:
- No weekends.
- No holidays.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Floating required to like units - travelers must be flexible to floating.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear "Yes" or "No" response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
