References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you're applying to.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in ICUs or STICUs in Level 1-2 trauma centers.
Unit Details:
- 2:1 ratio, but 1:1 is not uncommon with some higher-acuity patients.
- Neuro patients who are herniating and have brain drains, ortho trauma requiring traction, cardiovascular devices such as balloon pumps, Impellas, and EKOS, and post-op open-heart CABG patients.
- Open abdomens from the OR are often re-opened at bedside.
- Renal patients who need CRRT run at bedside by RNs.
- Medical ICU patients may come to the unit when sister units are full.
- ECMO program planned to start this summer.
