Required Credentials:

• Contingent/temp licensure is not accepted.
• MGB Dysrhythmia Exam required; 80% passing score.

Unit Details:

• Cares for patients with critical or life-threatening illness.
• Monitors and interprets rhythms and hemodynamic status.
• Administers prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips.
• Assists with shock and other life-threatening complications.
• Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertions.
• Patient population includes adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Floating Requirements:

• May need to float to other units based on hospital needs. If floated outside skillset, traveler will be helping hands only.
