Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position. In order to receive travel rate, clinician's claimed residence must match address on driver's license.
Required Credentials: Driver License is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Specialty Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or national benchmark, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Core Competencies required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80% or national benchmark, 2 attempts allowed.
Unit Details: 3 South is a cardiac telemetry unit caring for patients with significant cardiac disease and related conditions. Typical disease processes include chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope. Patients may require echocardiograms, stress tests, and diagnostic and interventional heart catheterization. Also handles MitraClip, Watchman, Tikosyn initiation, and TAVR patients. May overflow generalized med/surg and other non-cardiac patients as needed. May be asked to help precept new hires and RN residents.
Floating Requirements: First to float primarily to one of five other med/surg units, typically staffed at 5:1 guidelines.
