Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 1 year in a Level 1 ICU preferred; otherwise 2 years of preferred experience in a MICU setting.
- Candidates with only 1 year of experience as a new grad may be considered too new for this unit.
Required Credentials:
- ICU competency exam required.
Unit Details:
- Medical intensive care and neuro critical care patients.
- Ratios 1:2 or 1:1 if acuity requires 1:1.
- Cases include sepsis, ESRD and AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Will float to Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC.
