Required Skills/Experience:
First-time travelers allowed with at least 2 years’ experience, Cerner or Epic experience, and Level I or II trauma experience. Will also consider a candidate with 3+ years of Level III trauma experience at a 300+ bed facility.
Experienced travelers: at least 2 years of critical care experience (ICU, ER) with the most recent year in a Level I or II ER.
Required skills: Trach care, vent care, ICU drip care and maintenance, chest tube, art line, CVL, PICC, midline, port, Foley, splint/ortho device application and care, BiPAP/high-flow, continuous bladder irrigation.

Special Requests:
You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day-shift position on the same unit and facility.
Holiday time off is not contractually guaranteed prior to arrival.
Blackout dates for RTO in 2026: Martin Luther King Jr. Day 1/19-20; Valentine’s Day week 2/13-16; entire month of March; Easter weekend 4/18-20; Mother’s Day weekend 5/10-12; Memorial Day week 5/24-5/26; Father’s Day weekend 6/14-16; Fourth of July 7/3-6; Labor Day weekend 8/30-9/1; Halloween 10/30-11/2; Thanksgiving 11/26-30; Christmas and New Year’s 12/21-1/1.
Up to 7 days off may be approved, excluding blackout dates.

Unit Details:
Patient population includes multi-system trauma (Level I), STEMI, stroke, CHF, COPD, GI, GU, OB/GYN, pediatrics, and psychiatric patients.
Receives several transfers from other facilities.
Patient ratios: 1:4 ER, 1:5 MS holds, 1:3 ICU holds.
Unit support includes CNA ratio 1:12, receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, phlebotomy up to 0300, IV/VAT team, and hospitalist; no telemetry monitoring tech.
Uses Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors.

Shift & Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: every other weekend, or 4 weekend days per month if on block schedule.
No call.
One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy.
Schedule cycle: 4 weeks.
