You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). For example, if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility.
Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler.
Time-off requests: 2 gold tickets/year and request off before the next schedule is posted.
Required Skills/Experience:
EFM interpretation and intervention, adult and neonatal assessment skills.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Gyn-surgical/mastectomy post-op experience preferred; if candidate is not comfortable with these patients, other staff may be able to take them.
Unit Details:
Cares for labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, newborns, and infants under 28 days old.
Level 2A Nursery; will care for sick babies.
Patient ratios: laboring 1:2; couplets 1:3-4.
Centralized fetal monitoring. No IV/VAT team. Resource nurse support may come from the primary nurse, manager, or charge nurse. Nursery located behind the nurse's station.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
On-call: LOC per census and LOC rotation.
Holiday expectations: 3 holidays scheduled, 1 on-call, rotating schedule.
Floating Requirements:
May float to Med/Surg as helping hands/in the role of a CNA. Could be floated within scope of practice and below.
