Required Skills/Experience:

• RNs must have EP lab scrub experience and must scrub EP procedures, including ablations, CRM devices, and LAAO.
• Additional required RN skills include circulating, documentation, sterile technique, pacing/stimulation, X-ray equipment operation, airway management during nurse-led sedation, arterial/venous sheath management, hemodynamic monitoring, advanced arrhythmia care, defibrillator threshold testing, temporary-permanent pacemaker procedures, pericardiocentesis, 3D mapping, radiation safety, laser lead extractions, and cryo.
• RNs must have moderate sedation, Isuprel drips, and cardioversion skills.
• First-time traveler acceptance depends on years of experience in an EP lab setting.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• LLE scrub experience requested.

Unit Details:

• Patient types include cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology cases.
• The department uses Cupid.
• Unit equipment and systems include CARTO, Rhythmia, ESI/Opal, Boston Scientific FaraPulse, Medtronic Affera PFA, RFA, ultrasound, a Boston Scientific recording system, BARD with Abbott pacer and Boston Scientific stimulator, 3D/4D ICE, intraoperative TEE, temporary-permanent pacemaker insertion equipment, X-ray equipment, laser lead extraction equipment, PlasmaBlade/cautery, i-STAT, and Zoll.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Shift options are 3x12s or 4x10s.
• The 4x10 schedule is Monday-Friday.
• Staff will work 3-4 Saturdays in 8-10 weeks; there is currently no Saturday schedule, but staff should be open to working Saturdays.
• Staff sign up for 3-5 late days per month and finish cases as needed.
• The department is closed on select holidays: 1/1, 1/20, 5/26, 7/4, 9/1, 11/27, and 12/25.
• No call is required except on the day after Thanksgiving (11/28) and the day before Christmas (12/24).
