Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience:
- Float experience does not count towards the unit experience requirement.
- PA lines experience required.
Required Credentials:
- Proctored rhythm identification test required at start; two attempts; not multiple choice.
Special Requests:
- No local travelers within 50 miles.
Unit Details:
- Fast-paced heart/vascular moderate care observation unit with high patient turnover.
- Cares for low-acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in heart/vascular ICUs or stepdown units.
- Includes presurgical patients and observation patients after same-day procedures who may need longer monitoring prior to planned discharge home.
- Accommodates LVADs, 2-4 drips, arterial lines, and PA catheters.
- No ventilators, CRRT, IABP, or Impellas on this unit.
Shift & Scheduling:
- No call.
