Ability to start ASAP! This assignment allows expedited credentialing or pending credentials so you can start in under 3 weeks. Being ready and willing to quickly be credentialed by our team is a must.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Proficiency in cardiac care required.
• Comfort with EKGs required.

Special Requests:

• Once your initial RTO requested is accepted, no further negotiations of terms will occur before your start date.
• Full-time employees of McLaren are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment.

Unit Details:

• Patient population includes general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients.
• The CVU cares for over 4000 cardiology patients annually and performs procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, and biventricular pacemaker procedures.
• Approximately 300 open-heart surgery patients are discharged from the unit 18-24 hours postoperatively.
• The CVU specializes in the care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies.
• The NISUS research department manages many national clinical trials using the CVU.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Every other weekend.
• On-call is possible.

Floating Requirements:

• Must be willing to float to similar units.
