Required Skills/Experience: 3+ years OR experience with anesthesia experience required. OR/CVOR circulating experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Conscious sedation experience preferred.
Unit Details: Assists anesthesia providers across a variety of specialties with a main focus on the cardiothoracic program. 4-5 rooms per day may be assigned. Responsibilities include assisting with intubations, fiber optic scopes during intubation, sterile techniques with central lines, arterial lines, central lines, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheters, starting IVs, drawing labs, setting up medication pumps, and running Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I. Assists anesthesia with heart surgeries, traumas, elective surgeries, and general surgeries. Uses Cell Saver and Belmont.
Shift & Scheduling: Mon-Fri various day shifts. Every 3rd-4th weekend and every other holiday. On-call/call-back: 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup per week; could on occasion need additional call. Response time is 30 minutes ready in the OR; a vehicle is required due to the 30-minute response time.
