Required Skills/Experience:
- Charge experience required.
Unit Details:
- Charge RN role; this position is 60% ED and 40% critical access charge.
- Whenever possible, patients are stabilized, treated, and discharged back home; emergent conditions may be stabilized and transferred to other facilities for services not offered at this hospital.
- Works closely with the area's ambulance service; DHART and LifeFlight of Maine provide helicopter trauma service for rapid transfer of critically ill or injured patients.
- TeleEmergency, Telepsych, and Teleneonatal are available in the ED via DHMC.
- Support staff includes Emergency Department technicians.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Every other weekend.
- No call.
Floating Requirements:
- Must float to Med/Surg and Stepdown; must be willing to take Stepdown patients and help with Med/Surg patients.
