Required Skills/Experience:
Must have recent home health experience with proficiency in OASIS documentation.
Wound care experience required.
Excellent infection control practices in the home environment required.

Special Requests:
Must take full 6 months off from any Sanford Health or Good Samaritan Society location as well.
Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.
If previously employed by Marshfield, the employment end date must be 6 months before the submission date.

Unit Details:
Common diagnoses and care needs include CHF, diabetes, renal disease, wound care, IV therapy, and management of drains and other devices.
A typical day involves 6 points. This would be an admission plus 3-4 patients.
Travel RNs are required to perform SOCs, recertifications, and resumptions.
No ventilator support is provided for home health patients.

Shift & Scheduling:
Monday-Friday schedule, with rotating weekends and holidays.
Weekend coverage is typically every 4th or 5th weekend.
When scheduled for a rotating weekend, the travel nurse has a day off before and after.
Typically up to two holidays per year.
One weekend on call per month and one evening on call per week; the travel nurse participates in the nightly and weekend on-call rotation.

Floating Requirements:
All nurses will work in home health and hospice. Primary hospice patients would typically not be assigned to a travel nurse, but the travel nurse may have to see a hospice patient on call; the hospice protocol can be taught.
