An interview with the unit manager may not be available prior to offer. If you do not interview with the unit manager, you may interview with a third-party clinical nurse manager.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Ventilator/Trach experience required.
- At least 1 prior travel experience required.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- ICU experience preferred.
Required Credentials:
- Associate degree or certificate.
Unit Details:
- Heavy Tele.
- Stable, weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke.
Shift & Scheduling:
- Shift options: 7a-730p / 700p-730a.
- Every other weekend. Every other holiday.
- May be low censused in hour increments as needed; the unit typically low censes in 4-hour increments and may ask travelers to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift.
- Hours may vary during orientation week and during holidays when the unit is closed.
Floating Requirements:
- Float to all inpatient units at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, as needed. Typically will float to higher acuity units.
