Required Skills/Experience:

• First-time travelers accepted if they have IR experience.
• Neuro IR experience required for RNs.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• AAA intervention experience preferred.

Special Requests:

• No holidays currently; subject to change and would be call only.

Unit Details:

• Adult patients only.
• General IR procedures include kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty (not performed at night), central lines/PICCs/ports, fistulograms, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, nephroureteral stents, peripheral leg cases, coil embolization, thoracentesis/paracentesis, cryo procedures, CT biopsies, and drains.
• Neuro IR cases include stroke and embolization work, DSA, WADA tests, and spinal angiograms; neuro procedures are not performed at night.
• RN responsibilities include sedation when anesthesia is not involved, monitoring, and charting.
• Uses Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Change Healthcare PACS, Siemens and GE equipment, MedRad injector, IVUS, GE ultrasound, laser, Bovie, and Angiojet.

Shift & Scheduling:

• Fridays-Sundays.
• On-call not applicable for this weekend shift.
• RTO approval: up to 7 days.
